  1. What great timing! I will be in Zagreb in a couple of weeks and looking for cool places to eat. If you have any other suggestins I would love to hear them. We are driving from Venice (through Slovenia) to Zagreb, then to Plitvice Lakes, then to Split, then Dubrovnik, and finally Sarajevo. We live in Napa Valley and work in the wine business so we’ll be visiting lots of wineries when we are there as well. You may enjoy our California wine country blog: http://www.topochinesvino.com.

    1. dear topochinesvino,
thank you for your comment. I am glad you found it helpful. Beside Sace there are many other good restaurants. I would recommend Bistro Fotic in Gajeva Street – http://www.bistrofotic.com/index_eng.html and Stari Fijaker (Old Cariage) http://www.starifijaker.hr/ at Mesnička 6 Street. Since you are driving trough Slovenia i would highly recommend to stop by in the village of Skarucna, just outside of Ljubljana. The chef and owner, Mr. Marko Žagar is a friend of mine running a Slovenian cuisine restaurant and school. They also have rooms in case you have a few glasses of vine. If you contact Marko tell him I recommended you. In Split I would recommend to eat at either Galija or Maslina restaurants. My favorite places. They serve Italian food as well Dalmatian dishes. If you have a time on your way to Dubrovnik I would recommend to swing by to Peljesac Peninsula. That is where the best Croatian vineyards are. I live at peninsula, a small village of Trpanj and I can help you to meet some of the best wineries. keep me posted of your schedule as I often go to Sarajevo. Best. Drazan 🙂 P.S. the best way is to contact me over Email drazan.lapic@gmail.com you can also text me at my US# 1 802 659 0285
